usually they have no edge guard
Unlike thermoformed paddle, the mold first produces the paddle without a proper handle, then producer uses another handle mold to make the handle.

surface materials customization
Not only the unibody paddle could be made with fiberglass, but also they could be made with higher level materials like carbon fiber, 3k carbon,12k carbon fiber and even 18k carbon fiber!
water decal design
unlike the thermoformed paddles or cold pressed paddles, the surface is usually done via UV, the unibody logo design is done via water decal.
what is water decal?
water decal rely on dextrose residue from the decal paper to bond the decal to a surface.
why do we use water decal instead of uv?
to make uv on the surface, the paddle should be FLAT laid of the machine surface, the cold/hot pressed paddles handle is made after they are UV,so before we make the paddles handle, the paddles could be flat laid on the uv machines
for unibody model: it is one-piece construction, it cannot be laid flat on the UV machine when they are produced with its handle, so we need to use water decal.
